Answers to the questions players and parents ask most. If yours is not here, contact us.

Playing

Do the games work offline?

Yes. Funzoo, Funzoo 2 and our other games work without internet. Ads need a connection, and so does online play with a Lichess account in Chess Offline, but the games themselves do not.

How do 2, 3 or 4 players play on one phone?

Pick the number of players before a game starts. Depending on the game, you either share the screen, with each player getting a side or a corner, or you pass the phone between turns. Empty seats can be filled with a CPU player in many games.

Can I play against the computer?

Yes. Many games have a VS CPU mode, and the puzzle games have hundreds of levels to play on your own.

Do I need an account?

No. Your settings, stars and progress are saved on your phone.

I changed phones. Can I keep my progress?

Progress is stored on the phone, so a new phone starts fresh. Android’s own app backup may bring it back if backup is turned on in your phone’s settings.

Ads

Why are there ads?

Ads pay for the games, which are free. We use Google AdMob. There are no in-app purchases.

What kind of ads will I see?

Mostly rewarded ads, which only play when you tap to watch one for a bonus such as a hint or an extra try. Funzoo and Funzoo 2 can also show a short ad between finished games, a banner on menu screens, and an ad when you come back to the app after a while. No ad plays during a match.

Can I turn off personalised ads?

Yes. Where the law requires it, for example in the EEA and the UK, the app asks for your choice the first time it starts, and Funzoo and Funzoo 2 have a Privacy options button on their credits screen to change it later. On any Android phone you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings › Privacy › Ads.

Are the ads suitable for children?

Funzoo and Funzoo 2 are made for a general audience aged 13 and over and ask Google for ads rated PG at most. Kitty’s ABC and Bunny’s 123 are made for children: their ads are child-directed, non-personalised and rated G, under Google Play’s Families policy.

Data and privacy

What data do your apps collect?

We do not ask for your name, email or location, and we do not run servers for the games. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to show and measure ads. Each app’s privacy policy has the details.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstalling the app removes everything it saved on your phone. You can also clear the app’s storage in Android Settings › Apps. For anything else, email us.

Where are the privacy policies?

There is a studio policy and one for each app. The links are at the bottom of every page.

Problems

How do I report a bug?

Use the contact form or email hello@hornbillgames.com. Include the app and game name, your phone model, the Android version, what you did and what happened. A screenshot or screen recording helps.

A game is too hard or too easy.

Tell us which game and which level. We use that feedback when we tune levels in updates.

The app will not start or it crashes.

Restart your phone, make sure the app is up to date in Google Play, and check that the phone has some free storage. If it still fails, send us your phone model and Android version.
